NAME: Felix Altair, previously Felix Bakar

CANON POINT: What would be considered season two

HISTORY: When a mommy Bakar and a daddy Bakar love each other very much, they make a baby Bakar. Born with a name that really doesn't matter anymore, his childhood was nothing exciting until the age of six, when his parents' occupation as assassins came to light in a truly awful way. Because of a job gone wrong, Felix was kidnapped and had his arms amputated as a warning to his parents before being returned to them. His arms would be replaced with cybernetic versions and it would take two years of physical therapy and training to use them well, being taken out of school for the express purpose of helping speed of the process. During this time, Felix would decide to become an assassin himself primarily for revenge against the people who took his arms away.
Once he was considered proficient with his arms, Felix was sent back to school, though two years behind thanks to his time off. During his first day, he would stop a group of picking on a smaller child by beating them up. The other kid, whose name was Will Vega Jr. (or just Junior to everyone except for Felix), latched onto him and the two became incredibly close friends. Felix would continue to protect Junior from bullies and eventually fall in love with him, the other boy being his first and only love. All while Felix was trying to have a normal life, his parents would train him how to be an assassin, but would also enroll him in dance classes and gymnastics as both a cover and additional training. School vacations would eventually be times when Felix would be forced to do more intense training and eventually when he would travel across the world to do jobs. As a teenager, Felix would find out that Junior is actually part of the Vega family, one of the most well-known assassin families in modern times, and that Junior is unaware of this fact. Junior's grandparents would force Felix to keep this secret from him and he'd return that by promising to keep him safe.
After high school, Felix would enroll in a local college to get a degree so that he could become a professional dancer all while he became an assassin mostly full time. It was all relatively normal, with Felix getting his degree and becoming the first cyborg professional dancer hired by a major studio as well as making a name for himself in the assassin world beyond being just another Bakar. Things got insane when Junior returned from college and opened a bakery. Assassins from all over were getting hired to either kill Junior or try to bring him in so that he could join the family business. Felix, being Junior's loyal protector and having promised to keep him safe, would take down any assassin that came anywhere near Junior while keeping things a secret from him.
Of course, keeping a secret doesn't last long with assassins showing up to kill a person, so when a particularly obvious one tries to gun Junior down, Felix has to reveal everything to him, from being an assassin himself to Junior's entire family being assassins. Naturally, it's rough for Junior, but Felix helps keep him from making stupid decisions and expresses everyone's desire for Junior to live a normal life. Things would fall back into a pattern, Junior existing, Felix having to save him from assassins, Felix and Junior finding out that they both harbor massive crushes for each other and act on it (finally).
After so many failed attempts to get at Junior, attention would turn towards Felix and he would be subsequently kidnapped in an attempt for Junior to join them willingly, though it wouldn't succeed and Felix was soon dropped on Junior's doorstep, pretty banged up and with his cybernetics violently removed from his body. His legal cybernetics had to replaced with illegal ones since his arm sockets were badly damaged from the removal of his old ports and he had to work around that. Junior frets over him, Felix acts like he's perfectly fine, life continues on.

-Technology sits comfortably in the futuristic setting, the aesthetic very reminiscent of 70s science fiction, shiny with chrome and copper elements to most things. Flying cars, cybernetics, basic robots, and external mental interfaces into computers and other technologies are all around in some form or another. Full digitization is still being worked on.
-Androids are the term for genetically-enhanced humans. Originally meant to help stop diseases, the American government used androids as replacements for soldiers, androids are now banned thanks to people freaking out about the idea of genetically-engineered supersoldiers created by the government. Family lines descended from these original androids are monitored, but some have slipped through the cracks.
-Cyborgs are people who have parts of their bodies replaced by cybernetic parts, whether it be medical or cosmetic. After a boom in the use of cybernetics for cosmetic reasons, the amount of cybernetics on their person is heavily regulated, with only those who have medical cybernetics over the legal percentage. Cybernetics are also not allowed to blend in with the human form, with limbs and eyes looking like something out of the Terminator. Cyborgs tend to be thought of in a bad light, no matter the reasoning for their cybernetics. They're commonly discriminated against and it's only recently that people have started to care.

PERSONALITY: Felix is a people person. He loves being around them in both a social interaction sense and a purely physical one. He's the sort of guy that would be considered the life of the party, loud and friendly and outgoing, but never the sort who is pushy. Most of how he presents himself is genuine, though it tends to be an exaggeration of who he is naturally, as past circumstances have pushed him more towards the introverted side of things even though he is still very much an extrovert. Felix is the type of friend who would stick by your side no matter what's going on in your life, whether it be good times or bad. He's always there for his friends, whether to listen or talk or hang out and do ridiculous things together with them. He's fiercely protective of his friends and if anyone messes with them, he will go after the person responsible and beat them up in response.
Despite what appearances may lead people to believe, Felix is incredibly intelligent and cunning. He was raised to think of his mind as the best weapon in his arsenal and he definitely treats it as such. He's the one that comes up with the plans, whether they be trying to get out of trouble at school or to escape after finishing a job. He doesn't like to make his intelligence obvious, preferring to let people think less of him and underestimate him as that it makes a number of things easier for him when he needs to deal with people whose egos need to be shredded to pieces.

He has a pureness to him that Felix envies and wants to keep pure and does everything in his power to protect Junior from the atrocities that make up the assassin community. Even before knowing who Junior was related to, Felix wanted to protect him and fell in love with him because of the kindness and gentleness that was as natural as breathing to Junior. Felix is aware of his own status as being completely and utterly broken, but that doesn't mean he wants others to be the same as him. Instead, he uses his own brokenness as a shield to keep others from having to go through the same pain he has because Felix beforehand was a good person, but now he's not really good so much as fair and practical. It doesn't make sense to him to hurt people who don't deserve it, who aren't part of the business, so he makes sure they don't get involved.
His dancing is probably the one real non-violent outlet that he has for himself and it's important to him in almost the same way Junior is important to him. He needs it in a way that his job as an assassin cannot satisfy and does everything he can to make sure he can have the time to do it. Which usually means everything is scheduled around his job as a professional dancer and not his job as a professional hitman, a fact that most people who know of both sides of his life are surprised by. It's also a matter of pride to him, as Felix is the first cyborg to be allowed to work for big time productions and he definitely wants to prove to people that he wasn't just allowed to do it because of his disability, but because he's actually incredibly skilled at what he does.
